Encaustic-creations was created as a display portal for the fascinating art of Encaustics and to provide a brief insight to an art medium that anybody can take up. Individuals do not need to be artistic in any way and can create simple unique abstract pictures by simply having fun.

For the more dedicated individual that has a hidden raw talent, a few hours of practice and perhaps (but not always necessary) some guidance from publications or tutors of encaustic art, a whole world of pleasure and fun awaits with landscapes appearing with a sweep of the iron.

Personally, my initial inspiration came from seeing one of the UK's leading encaustic artists, Michael Bossom, perform what to me were miracles on a  piece of encaustic card. His ability to transform a plain piece of card into such a glorious landscape captivated me and transported a non artistic person into another dimension that until then was not known about.

Such is my enthusiasm and love for this type of art, I wanted to show to all what can be achieved in a very short period of time., whilst at the same time , having fun.
